Las Vegas

The famous "welcome" sign, which greeted us to the forty five degree heat.

The Main Street is an expansive array of themed hotels and casinos, here is the Paris section, complete with Eiffel Tower.

The Luxor hotel is even shaped in a pyramid to fit its Egyptian theme. To avoid the heat, you could opt for the shuttle service.

Ceasers palace has a Roman theme and is complete with a collesum which acts as a concert hall.

The front facade of the famous Bellagio.

The view of the water show from the restaurant 'Picassio', this is a great free show which plays in time to music.

The view down the strip towards 'The Stratosphere'.
Vegas is by far more alive and extravagant at night, here is 'New York, New York' in all its splender.

The Eiffel tower glistened on the strip.

The MGM hotel is famous for the residence of the Hakkasan restaurant and night club.

The Bellagio light show at night was simply spectacular.

View from 'The Mirage' hotel towards 'The Venetian'.

The Venetian has a Venice theme, complete with real gondolas which can be rode through the shopping centre.

Marks Square within 'The Venetian', we were highly impressed by the attention to detail.

The Hoover Dam from above, we wanted to visit the Grand Canyon so opted for the aeroplane with a three hour landing at the Canyon.

Lake Mead which provides the power at the Hoover Dam for Vegas.

The Grand Canton from the aeroplane.

The sky walk was something we were totally stunned by, this is a great attraction but with its glass bottom not for the faint hearted.

The Grand Canyon from one of the stops.

This is the most amazing natural phenomena we have had the pleasure of visiting, truly awe inspiring.
